These light-up laser etched pieces were a gift for supporters of Digital Harbor Foundation. A baltimore skyline engraved into clear acrylic diffuses the glow from within its stacked plywood base.

The enclosure houses a chain of Adafruit Neopixel sticks, chosen for their low profile and intense brightness. They are connected to an Adafruit Trinket - a micrcontroller the size of a quarter!

This project singlehandedly taught me how to solder with the precision of a surgeon - after frying off a few contacts of course.
